Launch a new outdoor leisure game in North America

Solution

Originally designed for tailgating and college students, we crafted a family-friendly brand strategy that framed the brand as a fun outdoor activity for all ages. We developed brand strategy, and social media strategy and produced content designed to engage on trending platforms such as TikTok and Instagram reels, and created ad units for deployment on paid social platforms including TikTok and Instagram/Facebook Ads. 

Research

I was responsible for conducting a market analysis focused on trends in outdoor recreational activities in Canada. Since Frizbowl is a unique product, I looked into other formats of active outdoor games. I also investigated emerging social media strategies from growing brands in diverse industries.

Key findings:

  • Short-form content is taking over.

  • Promote experiences, not products.

  • Younger audiences prefer fast-paced content and vibrant images.

  • Consistent posting is essential.

We opted to focus on visual storytelling through dynamic photoshoots to convey the excitement and unique experience of Frizbowl, aligning with the brand's playful and energetic spirit. I participated in three major photoshoots, overseeing the art direction and assisting with the production of photo and video content.

Brand photography was one of my core responsibilities in this project. Working alongside the Creative Director and the Director of Photography, I was actively involved in planning photoshoots and producing static content. I professionally edited all photography for social media and the web.
