Creating Branding and Packaging for Phocus+ Supplements Launch
Phocus+ is a new brand of premium dietary supplements based on vitamins and nootropics. The brand targets heath-conscious consumers, including young professionals and athletes, wishing to optimize for mental clarity and sharpness, physical performance, and endurance. Phocus+ needs a new logo, fresh visual identity, and consumer packaging to launch the product into the US market.
In this project, I was a solo designer.

Original Packaging
Problem
Phocus+ is a new supplement brand preparing to launch its first product in the US market. The company came to me with a rough design for the packaging and logo, asking me to improve it. Obviously, a new product with a questionable-quality design won’t sell as much.
Solution
We decided Phocus+ needs a full fresh identity and packaging to launch successfully into the hyper-competitive US market. We researched the competition and big players to identify gaps and opportunities that Phocus+ can fill.
Research
Our research targeted trending and established brands like Essentials, Sugarbear, Goli, and Limitless. We found out that most label designs lacked a main brand image. Typically, the company’s logo or supplement’s name was the biggest element on the packaging. Here’s where we decided to do something different. We created a circular abstract image used across most brand applications, making the brand memorable and recognizable.
Label Concepts
Labels and Prototypes
We attempted several concepts for the label design with different layouts and color schemes. We narrowed it down to one design that had the most potential. After, we proceeded to make mid-fidelity physical prototypes of the packaging.

Logo Design
Phocus wanted the logo to look sharp, futuristic, simple, and impactful. The idea was to replace the "O" in "Phocus" with a spiral image representing the focus. We attempted several typefaces and spiral images, narrowing it down to the best variant that stood out the most. Each variant was tested on the packaging prototype in different scales.

Mailer boxes
We designed PR boxes with supplements we sent out to influencers. We transferred the design from the label onto the boxes to keep all packaging consistent and on-brand.

Brand Applications
After assembling the brand style guide, I designed a range of brand applications, including consumer packaging, merchandise, and typographic posters.
Merchandise is planned to be a significant part of the brand, offering unique and eye-catching designs to buyers.
